Americans Overseas are Supporting Giuliani

Giuliani has been actively raising funds from Americans living overseas.   Contributions from Americans overseas for all candidates doubled between 2000 and 2004.

Having raised $127,000 from Americans in London, Tokyo, Monte Carlo and Warsaw, Giuliani leads the GOP in overseas fund raising.

While $127,000 may seem like chump change, the number is really understated because ex-pats usually write their permanent U.S. addresses on their checks.  That being said, for the 2008 presidential election, ex-pats have given more than $470,000 in the first six months of the year, on pace to significantly exceed 2004.

Giuliani Criticizes Clinton's Petraeus Ad Silence

Rudy used Hillary's own words to lambast her on Thursday, stating she supports the "politics of personal destruction" for not voting with the 22 Democrats and 50 Republicans who condmened far left loons, MoveOn.org, for making a personal attack on Gen. David Patraeus.

Inlcuding Clinton, only 25 Democratic senators opposed Sen. John Cornyn's amendment to "strongly condemn" MoveOn.org's "Betray Us" ad.

Schwarzenegger: Giuliani Will Get the Nomination

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger told the Los Angeles Times that he expects former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to lock in the Republican presidential nomination.

He stopped short of making an official endorsement because of his role as Governor precludes him from a formal endorsement at this time, but he commented that Giuliani is "the most consistent, stable person who is out there who makes the most sense to the people. That's why his poll numbers are high."

Schwarzenegger also clarified that his statements made to a state Republican convention this month where he criticized the GOP for alienating voters by taking rigid stances on healthcare and global warming were aimed at helping the Republicans become the majority party in the Democratic stronghold of California.

He believes that if the GOP takes a proactive stance on issues such as the environment and global warming, the GOP can be the majority party.
